July Freebie & New Collection: Jump Into Summer with Big Sur Blooms
Hello, summer! Being at home has me itching for some great adventures – including one of my all-time favorite road trips up the PCH on California’s coast into Big Sur. It’s a drive I’ve done many times before and, still, never gets old. Something about those views off the edge of the cliffs and the endless sunsets always makes me realize we that live in a truly beautiful natural world.
When I was brainstorming some inspiration for a new collection, I knew that I wanted to do some pieces that pulled from that beauty and spoke its truth in art. I’m a big fan of that warm, muted retro California color palette – full of lots of dusty yellows, rusty oranges and muted reds. Kind of like a good sunset over the ocean! I took all of those ideas, sentiments, and inspiration and put them together into my newest series of artwork, Big Sur Blooms.
That’s where this month’s freebie wallpaper comes in. I pulled one of my pretty abstracted watercolor mix media illustrations (which were all inspired by local wildflowers found throughout the area!) and made it into a beautiful wallpaper for all of your devices. I hope this piece brightens up your technology this month!
